From JH: Dove on a Distant Oak

Dove on a distant oak
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like dove on a distant oak
I rest on my journey home
Your hand stretches like a branch
To hold me in beneath your canopy
Like lamb on a pasture green
I feed on my daily need
Your words cover all of my way
Just like the grass that shields my feet from shards
Like deer at a singing brook
I drink for my burning thirst
Your love ever flows like a spring
To give me hope when all is lost!
Like a dove on a distant oak
I need your strength on my journey home
I need your love when the sun goes down
I need your hands to hold me in--
When the darkness falls on me
Like birds in the lofty sky
I'll soar when the morning dawn
Your spirit lifts me up like the wind
To push me over the rainbow's edge!
To where Your love waits in open arms
Just like an oak stretches out its branch
To hold in safety beneath your leaves
To hold in peace this tired dove--
A dove on a distant oak...
写这首歌的方柞皓另外写了一段话给李瑞宝:
谨以此歌送予想家的我的宝:
在往后的日子
不论神放我们在哪一个家
给我们一个怎么样的家
或甚至不给我们家,只叫我们成为
四处为家的传教士
在任何地方
我们都认定
我们还在回家的路上
我们不应过份回顾以往的家
过份响往以后的家
只盼望
走完这一段天路
在彼方的天家
